The schools Estrela do Terceira Milênio, Academicos do Tucuruvi, Mancha Verde, Império de Casa Verde, Mocidade Alegre, Águia de Ouro and Dragões da Real pass through Anhembi

The rain was even more intense than on the first day of the parades. But all schools passed the Sambadrome without delays or major technical problems.

The themes were lighter, including humor and overcoming difficulties, with an emphasis on musical stories, with drums, samba and northeastern Brazil taking center stage.

CARNAVAL VIDEOS: Moments from the parades in SP in 1 minute

See how the shows went on the second night:

Star of the third millennium

The Star of the Third Millennium made his debut in the Special Group. The Grajaú school put on a parade full of clowns and other funny characters, with Marcelo Adnet as the highlight and Carla Diaz as the godmother of the drums (see videos of the parade above). Read more about the Third Millennium Star Parade.

Academics of Tucuruvi

Academicos do Tucuruvi paraded in the rain while the Sambadrome was wet. With the theme “Da Silva, Bezerra. The voice of the people!” he made a connection between the work of the Sambista Bezerra da Silva and the life of Brazilians from the periphery (see videos of the parade above). Read more about the Tucuruvi Academics Parade.

Green spot

The current champion of the São Paulo Carnival Elite defended the theme “Oxente I’m Xaxado, I’m Northeast, I’m Brazil”. The Alviverde school showed the strength of the dance created in the Sertão Pernambucano and popularized by Luiz Gonzaga. The King of Baião was represented in the last float with a giant moving puppet holding an accordion (see videos of the parade above). Read more about the Mancha Parade.

Realm of Casa Verde

Império de Casa Verde sang about the importance of drums and batuque in the history of Brazilian music. The fourth school on the second day told a story from the rhythms of Africa to the outskirts of São Paulo and Rio (see videos of the parade above). Mocidade Alegre

Mocidade Alegre united Brazil, Japan and Mozambique in his save. The school told the story of Yasuke, believed to be the world’s first black samurai. He arrived in Japan in 1579, enslaved by the Portuguese Jesuits, and became a hero revered by Japanese culture to this day (see videos of the parade above). Golden Eagle

In search of the second championship, Águia de Ouro has been cruising the streets with a conspiracy of overcoming obstacles and optimism after winning in 2020. Divided into 20 wings, the 2000 components represent moments that take us into the air and that inspire us or bring us joy (see the parade in the videos above).

royal dragons

Dragões da Real ended the parades in SP by taking João Pessoa, the capital of Paraíba, to Anhembi. Despite the plot about the first city of America to receive the sun’s rays, the presentation was marked by the heavy rain that once again fell on the avenue. Despite this, the school, which emerged from a crowd in São Paulo, had no problems (see videos of the parade above). Read more about the Dragões da Real fashion show.
