The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne breaks down in tears as she describes her ‘mother guilt’

Radio star Laura Byrne breaks down in tears as she describes her “mother guilt” for leaving her children at home to go to work – after the cute little ones sent her a special Mother’s Day message on the air

Laura Byrne received a special message from her husband and their two daughters on Friday that brought her to tears.

The former Bachelors star co-hosted KIIS FM’s The Pick Up with Britt, Laura & Mitch and cried after listening to her girls Lola and Marlie-Mae and husband Matty “J” Johnson tell her during a surprise part wished the show a Happy Mother’s Day.

“It makes me really sad because yesterday I went to work and Marlie was crying because she didn’t want me to go and she was like, Mom, don’t go to work today,” she said after a clip with her daughters saying how much they love her.

“And sometimes when you’re trying to juggle being a mother and all the other things, you have to make sacrifices, and sometimes that’s really hard, and yesterday was one of those.”

Her co-star Brittany Hockley told Laura her “mother guilt” is understandable and her daughters appreciate how hard she works.

More tears shed as Matty’s message was played, and the former reality star herself cried during the dedication.

He said, “Laura, here’s your husband wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day.” I always knew you would make a good mom.

“It was never something I questioned.” I think I underestimated what an extraordinary mother you would be.

“I should have known, right?” Because you are absolute masters at everything you do. “You are a real achiever and being a mother is at the top of that list.”

Through tears, he continued, “I can honestly say that the only reason I’m the parent I’ve become is because of you.” I observe how patient you are, how caring you are, how careful you are and how much you love our girls.
