In a message sent on social media on Thursday evening, the Cowboys Fringants violinist, who is also a multi-instrumentalist, wrote: “A tired little mother has just played the last note of our posthumous album. »
Ms. Lépine added that this record was “so moving” and that it was the most difficult to complete in the entire career of the famous Quebec musical group.
Before his death on November 15 at the age of 47, Karl Tremblay sang on this album. His performances were recorded and can be heard when the album goes on sale.
On this subject, Marie-Annick Lépine points out that it was really not easy to work with her partner's voice and practice musical arrangements that resonated in her house.
“But what an artist!” It will be impossible to replace him,” she added.
Marie-Annick Lépine and Karl Tremblay had two children.
Jérôme Dupras and Jean-François Pauzé are the other members of the Cowboys Fringants.
The death of Karl Tremblay caused great sadness among Quebecers. On November 28, a national honors ceremony was held at the Bell Center in Montreal in front of approximately 14,000 people.
