The Festibière’s backyard exits Quebec Port

The backyard of the Festibière de Québec will leave the Port of Québec beginning summer 2023.

Local group Je bois announces that their summer project will be moving their activities elsewhere. The club is currently looking for a new location.

The Backyard has been located in Quebec’s Old Port since 2015. The Port of Quebec administration has not renewed the organization’s expiring lease.

The noise was particularly denounced by some close neighbors.

The operators already have another family-friendly project in mind for the location.

However, the basic concept could be the same, either have your feet in the water and eat or have a beer by the river.

Local group Je bois invites the business community to suggest via email sites that have the potential to host The Backyard for Summer 2023.

The site’s success encouraged the organization to set up a second site three years ago, this time near Lévis. For its part, the backyard of the Festibière de Lévis will be back in Rigolet Park from June 2023.

The company Je bois local operates, among other things, the Festibière de Québec, Lévis and Sherbrooke as well as the backyards of the Festibière de Québec and Lévis.
