The President of Venezuela reiterated his support for the call for peace in Colombia

From the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense in this capital, the President pointed out that his Colombian counterpart Gustavo Petro called for building total peace in the neighboring country and assured that Venezuelans would welcome and support this fact.

The head of state indicated that peace in Colombia “will be the harmony of Venezuela” and in this sense called for building it with the elaboration of a plan.

In this regard, he gave orders that all border posts headed by Ceofanb “come into contact with the armed forces of this country on the 2,219-kilometer border that separates them”.

Maduro recalled Saturday’s meeting between Defense Ministers Vladimir Padrino of Venezuela and Iván Velázquez of Colombia, held at Branch 212 of the 21st Zone Command of the Bolivarian National Guard in San Antonio del Táchira, with the aim of opening the border.

On his Twitter account, Padrino announced that the meeting aimed to “address issues necessary to rebuild trust and restore a frontier of peace.”

Noting that we are in very good shape, the head of state urged that no one should give up their vigilance and that everyone should always be “vigilant and vigilant.”

Military leaders of the Fatherland in your hands is the security, integrity of our territory. Let’s do it for (Simón) Bolívar and our liberators,” he said.

The Minister of Defense this Thursday praised the maturation and consolidation process achieved by Ceofanb, mentioning the strategic vision of Commander Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and the oversight of President Maduro.

Padrino viewed the strengthening of the Bolivarian National Army as a major civil-military victory, reflected in the participation of the Bolivarian militia in the theater of war, as well as in the confrontation with the terrorists rioting in the border areas.

As part of the celebrations, the soldiers participating in the 2022 International Army Games, in which they took the top three places, received the Ceofanb Cross First-class Award.
