Microsoft has updated its media creation tool to include Windows 11 22H2. As the name suggests, the aim of this utility is to create a bootable USB or bootable DVD to reinstall or clean install Windows 11 on a new or already used PC.
To benefit, you must have a Windows 11 installation license and a device eligible for the Alias 22H2 feature update or 2022 update. To download files, Microsoft requires an internet connection, sufficient computer space, a USB stick or an external drive from which to download the .iso file. In this regard, a blank DVD of at least 8 GB (and a DVD burner) is required to create a bootable disc. It is recommended to use a blank USB flash drive or DVD as all content will be erased during installation.

This update of the Media Creation Tool with the takeover of Windows 11 22H2 is interesting. It accelerates the deployment of the operating system on your PC. It is actually possible to select the “Update this PC now” option to force the transition to 22H2. It is therefore no longer necessary to wait for Windows Update to arrive. However, be careful, this method is risky, since possible malfunctions are possible.

Note that the application downloads Windows 11 Build 22621.525 (Update 2022) which contains several patches to fix installation issues. In fact, the KB5019311 update that allows Windows 11 22H2 to evolve in version 22621.525 fixes errors in the location of certain installation files.
