The Raptors return to winning ways

The Toronto Raptors ended a three-game losing streak with a 125-116 win over the New York Knicks at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday.

The only Canadian club in the NBA could rely on those responsible. In fact, Fred VanVleet scored 28 points, while Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. each scored 24 points.

VanVleet also made a comeback after missing the previous day’s game against the Boston Celtics. It was OG Anuoby’s turn to miss. The latter suffers from an ankle injury and was replaced in the Raptors’ starting XI by Precious Achiuwa. The substitute managed 11 rebounds in particular.

Quebec’s Chris Boucher was fielded for 23 minutes by head coach Nick Nurse. Raised in Montreal North, he had 14 points and seven rebounds.

RJ Barrett brought the charges in the Knicks camp. The Queen City native scored 30 points and provided five assists. He was joined by Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson who had 23 and 21 points respectively.

The Raptors return this Wednesday when they visit the Kings in Sacramento.

Kawhi Leonard having fun
