The star player was forced out of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after injuring one of his pecs. The following day, the ESPN network learned that Watt would soon be seeking opinions from several doctors on his medical condition.

If it is determined that the 27-year-old will require surgery, his 2023 season will be over. If he doesn’t have to go under the knife, he could be back on the football field in about six weeks.

Before he was injured, the 2021 NFL MVP had six tackles, including three for losses. He also had an interception. He failed to play overtime, resulting in a 23-20 win for his team.

The Steelers get back in action on Sunday when the New England Patriots visit Acrisure Stadium.
