US launches new attack against Houthis in Yemen, officials say 51 Miami

The US carried out another attack on Houthi rebels in Yemen this evening, according to two US defense officials.

The attack was carried out by the United States and carried out from a Navy ship, the officials said.

The target was a Houthi radar station, officials said.

Last night, the United States and the United Kingdom carried out strikes against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who are backed by Iran and control parts of Yemen, in retaliation for Houthi attacks on commercial and other shipping in the Red Sea, officials said.

After weeks of attacks on international ships in the Red Sea, US and British militaries launched attacks against Houthi rebels in Yemen, which militants said were aimed at supporting Hamas.

The Houthis, who control much of Yemen, have vowed retaliation, raising the risk of a broader regional conflict with Iranian-backed groups.

According to two US defense officials, the US carried out another attack against the rebels on Friday evening.

Israel announced that it had reached an agreement with Hamas to supply medicines to hostages held in Gaza. The deal was finalized with the help of Qatari officials, the prime minister's office said, and the drug will be distributed in the coming days.

Israel defended itself at the United Nations' top court after South Africa made its case that the war in Gaza amounted to genocide against Palestinians, an accusation Israel has rejected as “outrageous and absurd.” South Africa is asking the International Court of Justice to order an immediate end to the war, although a decision is likely to take weeks.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 23,700 people have died in Gaza since the war began. More than 60,000 people were injured and thousands more are missing and presumed dead.

Israeli military officials said at least 186 soldiers were killed in the country's ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. 1,200 people were killed and around 240 hostages were taken after Hamas launched several attacks on Israel on October 7th.
