Woman who killed 7, 16yearold children believing them to be zombies faces US conviction

An American mother with apocalyptic beliefs was found guilty by an Idaho state judge this Friday (12). USfor the murder of her two children and for complicity in the murder of her new husband’s exwife.

According to the investigation, Lori Vallow murdered children between the ages of 7 and 16 because she mistook them for “zombies”.

Vallow, a believer in reincarnation, was being investigated with her new husband, Chad Daybell author of esoteric and apocalyptic books for the three murders and for fraud, including continuing to receive family allowances after the deaths of minors.

The woman, who allegedly claimed to be a savior of humanity, had pleaded not guilty at trial. The judge ruled out the death penalty.

Chad Daybell is awaiting a separate trial. The two were members of a radical religious cult preparing for the apocalypse.

The case began in 2019 with the disappearance of the two minors reported by the grandparents of one of them. The investigation took a chilling turn when police discovered a series of deaths surrounding Lori Vallow and her husband.

In 2018, the woman’s third husband apparently died of a heart attack. In 2019, her fourth husband was shot dead by Lori’s brother, who pleaded selfdefense. The latter died shortly thereafter after being found unconscious in his apartment.

In October 2019, Chad Daybell’s exwife Tammy died of what appeared to be natural causes. Weeks later, Lori and Daybell moved to Hawaii and got married.

The bodies of the two minors, who were last seen alive in September 2019, were found near Daybell’s residence in the town of Rexburg in June 2020, more than nine months after their disappearance.
