An unexpected cameo from John Cena arrived on tonight’s SmackDown. The legendary WWE wrestler, who is now heavily involved in his acting career, was expecting what we’ll see on December 30th on the SmackDown show, where his presence had already been announced.
In a video that aired while Bloodline was in the ring, John Cena announced that he will join Kevin Owens in the tag team match proposed by Roman Reigns to settle the score between Zayn and Owens. So on the December 30 episode of SmackDown, we’ll see John Cena and Kevin Owens take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. A dream match when we think about the important connections between the names involved in this meeting.
Cena and Owens have been opponents on several occasions, but they must team up to defeat Reigns and Zayn. Zayn and Owens have been at odds for the past few weeks and after a backstage altercation tonight, the head of the table proposed a tag match to settle matters. However, his plan backfired when it became apparent that the leader of the Cenation would join forces with his former rival.
It will be John Cena’s first match since SummerSlam 2021 and will ensure Cena continues his streak of at least one match per year in WWE, which has lasted since 2000 when Cena debuted as a prototype in WWF Heat and his official debut as John at Dinner year 2002.
