Heyman criticized Aldis for his decision, but LA Knight told him to shut up. Knight agreed with Heyman that it probably should have been a one-on-one, but AJ Styles said Knight got his shot on Styles' prone body and was lucky to get the match. Styles and Knight argued before heading to the ramp before Aldis, Shawn Daivari, Jason Jordan, Shane Helms, Petey Williams and several referees separated them. While the match was taking place, Orton confronted Heyman and told him that he knew what Heyman was doing but that it wouldn't work because he would defeat Sikoa in the main event and reintroduce Reigns to the RKO.

After Paul said that Owens was cheating with his cast, Owens took off his cast. Paul surprised him with a jab, but Owens got up. Owens and Paul argued outside before Paul slammed Owens' hand into the ring post.
