UKRAINE. The Russian oligarch’s yacht, worth almost 128 million euros, was halted on Monday, March 14, in Barcelona, Spain, as part of sanctions against Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said.
“We have temporarily immobilized the yacht of one of the main Russian oligarchs, worth about 140 million dollars (128 million euros) in Barcelona (northeast) and 85 meters (length), and others are yet to come,” said Pedro Sanchez. , without further details.
According to the Spanish daily El Pais, the yacht is Valérie, which may be linked to Sergei Chemezov, head of the Russian defense industry conglomerate Rostec and an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
