Radio-Canada announced the return of the popular series on Monday. The eight episodes will be broadcast extra on Tou.TV in 2023-2024.

This final season takes place under the seal of revenge for the character of Huguette, played by Marilyn Castonguay. In the summer of 1976, sexism returned to Sainte-Foy as Montreal’s organized crime gripped the city. Huguette, having traded the gun for the apron, she will dare to plunge back into crime to save her honor and fight the surrounding machismo. Will Huguette, with her henchmen Gaétan, Micheline, Serge and Marie-Josée, have the courage to go to Montreal this Olympic year to track down the invader?

Dany Meloul, director general of television at Radio-Canada, said in a press release: “C’est comme ça que je t’aime is truly cult series caliber. The first two seasons have received multiple awards, been recognized at numerous international events and the series is among other things the first Canadian fiction series to be selected at the Berlinale. It is therefore with great pleasure to discover the last thrusts of this irresistible incredible story that will come to a conclusion at the end of this 3rd season. »

This final season, still written by François Létourneau, will be directed by François Létourneau and Patrice Robitaille.

Producers Joanne Forgues and Catherine Faucher also stated, “C’est comme ça que je t’aime is a fantastic adventure that has won over both local audiences and the international market. The series was sold in the United States, Israel, France, Spain, Germany, Scandinavian countries and English Canada. After two seasons that have immersed us in a crazy, historical and feminist universe, it is with great excitement and haste that we begin the production of the last season, in which the earthy characters imagined by François Létourneau will follow their destiny. »
