Trump more dictatorial than ever

Trump more dictatorial than ever

Donald Trump is back and Democrats just have to be careful. Trump gave the “town assembly” a strong performance yesterday against a moderator who tried to counter his many lies. The predominantly Republican space has also enjoyed the oratory impetus of its idol.

Victim at times, combative at times, Trump remained in control until the end of the debate, even if he seemed about to explode with anger in the last few minutes when the moderator reminded him, as he so often does, that he couldn’t go on like this make false statements.

Last night gave a good insight into the electoral arguments that Trump wants to make.

political capital

Trump has made political capital with the immigration issue and the economic state of the United States. Among other things, he assured that if he regained the presidency, he would bring down inflation and revitalize the economy by drilling new oil wells in the United States.

But in the attempted coup on January 6, he appeared weaker, refusing to condemn the actions of the rioters and, most importantly, showing that, with a few exceptions, he would grant them the president’s pardon.

Trump also poked fun at E. Jean Carroll and the court that ruled against him in the sexual assault case he was just convicted of, much to the delight of the public, who laughed at his every excess.

highlight of the evening

The highlight of the evening came towards the end of the game. Trump has said that if elected President, he would settle the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours. How? He didn’t say it. At the same time, he refused to condemn Vladimir Putin’s aggression, although he added that Putin made a mistake in attacking Ukraine. Trump also condemned Europe, which he accused of not contributing enough to the war effort – even though Europe had suffered enormously economically from the war.

Basically, Trump went back to his old NATO style and seemed about to shake hands with Putin, refusing to say whether or not he had committed war crimes.

Trump hasn’t changed an iota. He maintains his love of dictators and believes the United States must move closer to Russia lest China lose the field.

However, since the invasion of Ukraine and the strengthening of the Russo-Chinese alliance, the international situation has changed significantly. Putin’s diet has become rare. Russia has shown the weakness and incompetence of its army. In addition, Xi Jinping’s regime has become even more powerful and arrogant.

Trump loves dictators. Hearing him say that he will accept the results of the 2024 election if he thinks they are honest shows that he himself fully agrees with the logic of the dictators.
