The Stockholm-born Swede pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined a total of 40,000 Swedish kroner, the equivalent of $3,825, in connection with the crime.

The organization said that Swedish law regarding cannabis is divided into four penalties: consumption, possession, production and distribution.
NordAN said: “Because individual substances are not regulated separately, penalties depend on factors such as the amount of possession of particular substances and their perceived dangerousness.”
Drug offenses that are considered minor in Sweden can be punished with fines or up to six months' imprisonment, while normal drug offenses are punishable with a minimum of 14 days' imprisonment and up to three years' imprisonment.
A serious drug offense is punishable by a minimum of two years and up to seven years in prison, the organization said, while a particularly serious drug offense is punishable by a minimum of six years and up to 10 years of pretrial detention.
