A British star is set to ‘become the next James Bond’, replacing Daniel Craig

The British star is being dubbed ‘the next James Bond’ by bookmakers after numerous bets have been placed on him in the past 24 hours

Bookmakers have tipped a British actor to become the next James Bond, replacing Daniel Craig.

A large number of people suddenly bet on the actor becoming Bond on the final day. according to leading bookmaker Coral.

The man in question is said to have screen tested with Bond boss Barbara Broccoli at Pinewood Studios and impressed her, and now the odds of him taking on the role are 2/1.

It’s Aaron Taylor Johnson.

A source told the Sun, “Aaron did a screen test in September to be the next Bond and the producers and Barbara loved him. ‘He’s one of the front runners now.’

Behind 32-year-old Aaron are James Norton 5-2, Henry Cavill 3-1 and Tom Hardy and Richard Madden 7-1.

Coral’s John Hill said: “For our next James Bond bet, there’s been strong support for Aaron Taylor-Johnson over the past 24 hours.”

“It’s clear that the punters have pondered who they think should replace Daniel Craig.”

After appearing in five films, Daniel decided to retire from the role of Bond and since then rumors have swirled about who will replace him.

Aaron is best known for starring in Nowhere Boy, a 2009 John Lennon biopic.

The star is now married to the film’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, and shares Romy Hero, 10, and Wylda Rae, 12, with her.

Filmmaker Sam also has two older daughters – Angelica, 25, and Jessie, 16.

The couple tied the knot in 2012 and gave birth to their first child, Wylda, in 2010.

They had Romy two years later, while Sam has her two older daughters from her 11-year marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling, which ended in 2008.

Sam shared a loved-up snap celebrating their ten-year marriage anniversary in June, calling her husband Aaron “dad to all four girls.”
