Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson on body shaming

Married At First Sight star Jules Robinson has taken the shapewear world by storm since she launched her figure line three years ago.

Now she is launching her new body positive campaign #FIGURamplified just in time for Mother’s Day.

The campaign features a diverse group of 12 Ambassadors, chosen from thousands of applicants across Australia.

Embodying Robinson’s all-inclusive ethos, Ambassadors range in size from 6 to 24, a testament to her belief that beauty comes in all sizes.

“In my season of Married At First Sight, I went from being trolled and physically shamed to women telling me they want to embrace bodies like mine,” Robinson shared.

She further emphasized, “My message is a piece of material. ‘Below that material, it is you.’

In the midst of a saturated shapewear market where leaders like Kim Kardashian’s Skims and Lizzo’s Yitty are vying for consumers, Robinson has distinguished her brand by emphasizing real, everyday women in her campaigns.

The latest endeavor, #FIGURamplified, continues that tradition.

The MAFS graduate introduced her 12 brand ambassadors, who represent a wide range of Australian women in terms of height, age and ethnicity.

The 12 ambassadors include five mother-daughter couples, a mother-to-be and a woman who recently lost her mother to cancer, as well as Robinson himself.

When asked about her choice of mothers and daughters to lead the campaign, Robinson confided to the Daily Telegraph: “Sometimes the most messy, complicated and difficult relationship is with your mother.”

She elaborated: “A lot of the mothers [in the campaign] admitted they projected their physical insecurities onto their daughters by constantly swaying or speaking negatively about their bodies. They confided, “If I could change one thing about her upbringing, it would be it.”

Many ambassadors have expressed a newfound love for their bodies since taking part in the campaign, highlighting the positive impact their involvement has had on their confidence and the story of weight and curves.
