Ray Winstone gushed that his daughter Jaime's wedding in Sicily last year was the “best weekend” of his life as he shared a glimpse of the big day on Monday.
The 67-year-old actor proudly walked his 38-year-old daughter Jaime down the aisle last October when she married her husband James Suckling in a lavish ceremony, saying it was “different to the norm.”
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV daytime talk show, he revealed the big day was “a lot of money” but was worth every penny because they had so much fun.
The Sweeney star explained that the reception was much more “relaxed” than normal because the speeches were more relaxed.
Ray said: “The crazy thing about the wedding is that it costs a lot of money to get married and I'd rather give them that money for a house or something permanent.”

“But it was worth every penny, it was fantastic.” You know, it was actually the greatest weekend I've ever had. Her friends were amazing and helped us a lot.
“It was simply the best weekend. During the speeches we said whatever came to mind and stood up when we wanted, we sang, we drank, it was a different kind of wedding than usual. It was very relaxed.'
The ceremony took place at La Tonnara di Scopello, a former tuna fishery dating back to the 13th century.
In video footage shared on Instagram at the time, Ray could be seen walking arm in arm down the aisle with his eldest child.
Wearing a lace wedding dress with a fitted bodice and veil, actress Jamie looks radiant as she walks alongside her father with a bouquet of flowers in her hand.
Meanwhile, Winstone, whose acting career has been based on portraying psychopaths, gangsters and gangsters, looked appropriately dapper in a purple suit and a loose-fitting camp-collar shirt.
The actor was close to tears as he led the bride to her wedding reception, which was watched by 250 close friends and family members.
Celebrity guests included actress Sheridan Smith, presenters Nick Grimshaw and Miquita Oliver and actor Jason Connery.

It's believed Jaime had around 12 bridesmaids in matching dresses and they danced to “Together As One.”
Ray is grandfather to Jaime and James' son Raymond, who was born in 2016.
About his role as a grandparent, he said: “It's the best feeling in the world.” It's like watching your children grow up again.
“When I was younger I worked and you didn't have that pleasure as much, so now you live it like a grandfather.”
