The solar eclipse will take place this Tuesday
A solar eclipse is planned for this Tuesday (25th). That way, part of the world will be able to witness the moon passing in front of the sun in what’s called a partial eclipse. The last thing that happened was in 2022. Unfortunately, this time the Brazilians can only watch the eclipse on TV because it will not pass through Brazil. Therefore, it will be seen in almost all of Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, part of Russia and a small part of Greenland.
Therefore, in the Atlantic, it starts at 6 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 10 a.m. So its peak is scheduled for around 8am. Also, Brazilians passing through any of the mentioned places can take the opportunity to witness a beautiful solar eclipse.
Depending on where the eclipse is observed, it can be more or less intense. So for those who are on the best positioned peak, which in this case is the North Pole, the sun is 82% blocked by the moon. Therefore, there will not be a perfect alignment, which is why it is also known as a partial eclipse. In this way it will be possible to observe a piece of the sun further away, which appears similar to a crescent moon.
For those who will be watching the eclipse in Europe, Africa, and Asia, the sun will appear obscured to varying degrees. For observers from Russia, about 80% of the sun is covered by the moon, while in western China this percentage reaches 70%. In Norway, too, the solar disc will be 63% covered, while in Finland it is expected to be 62%.

When is the next solar eclipse planned?
Solar eclipses typically occur two to five times a year when the Moon passes in front of the Sun as seen from Earth. In addition, they always occur at the new moon phase. So, a total solar eclipse occurs when the sun is completely covered, which happens about every 18 months.
Two solar eclipses are planned for 2023, one that will not be visible in Brazil on April 20th. And the second is scheduled to take place on October 14th and will be witnessed by Brazilians who will have a vision of a kind of ring of fire around the sun.
